Original characters only; you may reuse an existing character or make new ones. We ask that OCs fit into the worldview.

Preparing in advance is OK but we ask that you hold off on posting to Bluesky until the dedicated prompt's date (or later; late is always fine!).
Interacting with others is encouraged! Like and share each other's art! Find fellow participants via the #skycrossintro tag, and get in on the action via #skycross.
Most of all, have fun! Don't stress! Do as little or as much as you like!

Name etymology?

→ Sky = world(s); from Bluesky | Crossing = intersection; crossover; connecting points

Do our characters have to be in conflict with each other?

→ Not at all. They don't even have to participate in battle, they could just be vibing in the world!

How do I know what I'm allowed to add to the worldview? Can I make ___?

→ You can make whatever you want, the world is your oyster!🫴 ...But basically, anything that hasn't already been established in written form is free game to expand on. If it hasn't been specified, chances are Inoki🍊 has a very vague idea of it and didn't bother sussing out the rest to leave it open for interpretation. Else, if you find any gaps, feel free to fill it with your own creativity! And if in doubt, ask!

What about the story? How much of it am I allowed to reject or change? Can my OC do ___?

→ Your OC is yours and so are your choices! Think of the story as a guide—a suggestion but not a restriction. Nothing about SxC is strictly canon; you can write your own story even if that means rejecting the events/conclusions (like an AU, except it's your canon)! So if you're wondering "can my OC go off and do their own thing even if it has nothing to do with the plot?" —Absolutely, yes! Just make sure your OC fits into the worldview, that's all I ask!

What time zone does this follow?

→ The host is in JST (GMT+09:00) but you may follow according to your own time zone!

Is there a restriction for red and blue characters to interact?

→ None whatsoever! Unless your character chooses not to for any given reason.

I'm late! Can I still join/do past prompts? What about after April?

→ Of course! Late is always welcome. April was set to be the main active period, but the feed will remain up, so feel free to keep using #skycross! Just make sure it stays relevant to SKY×CROSSING.

What do the factions think of each other?

→ Astral Ciel thinks Scarlet Zenith are too strict while Scarlet Zenith thinks Astral Ciel are too selfish. Whether they get along or not is up to the individual (your OCs!) but the relationship between the factions mimics that of rival competitors. Despite their differences, at the end of the day they want the same thing—a place for catalysts—and can respect each other for that at least.
